Family connections with the Weatherford family started Mike’s career at Weatherford Thompson. Weatherford Thompson has had a descendant of the Weatherford family on staff since it was founded in 1875. Mike is a fourth generation descendant of the firm’s founder J.K. Weatherford.
Mike was raised in Lebanon, Oregon, but after graduation, settled with his family in Albany. He and his wife have raised three children here in Albany with hopes that one of his children will go off to law school and become the next generation attorney here at Weatherford Thompson.
Mike and his family go to every home Beaver football game and quite often travel to many away Beaver games. As a member of the local Albany Beaver Huddle, Mike has helped put together many fundraisers, including the Silent Auction and Barbeque. Through the years, Mike has practiced several different types of law. His primary focus now is work in real estate, business, estate planning, probate and agricultural law.
