Andy is a third-generation Oregonian, with stops in WA and CA. He worked as a financial planner at MetLife in Santa Rosa, CA prior to attending law school at Willamette University. He ended up in Albany as a result of his search for a small firm in a small to medium sized town in western Oregon. He and his wife, married in 1992, decided Albany was the perfect place to raise a family, which includes two healthy and active boys, and moved to the area in 2000. Weatherford Thompson, with its rich history, accomplished attorneys, and diverse practice areas made it an easy decision to locate to the Willamette Valley.
Andy obtained his law degree at Willamette University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and as a student served as Business Manager for Willamette Law Review. As an undergraduate, he attended Santa Clara University on Army ROTC and Honors Program scholarships. He was a 3-time national collegiate boxing champion and 7-time scholar athlete while obtaining his degree in business management. Andy was discharged from the Army Reserve in 2001. He still enjoys most athletic activities when not grounded by his wife due to injury. He hopes to develop hobbies when his sons are grown and he can invest energy in other directions.
In recent years, Andy’s practice has focused on litigating construction, real estate, and trust disputes, transactional work in business, real estate, land use, and estate planning, and elder law planning. His clients and projects include multi-million dollar companies and disputes, new businesses, and families that simply need advice in resolving disputes or planning for the future.
